I had a long winded post in Word but decided to leave at this abridged version, I spend far, far more time still playing and enjoying OOTP 20 than I do 21. I will still even spend money there if an opportunity presents for a card I have long since been coveting.
I had two objectives and have satisfied them on 21 and as of right now have no need or indication to spend any more money unless something else catches my eye. I wanted to complete the Negro League (which was complicated by them doubling the cards) and all the Futures. Along the way pulling packs to achieve that goal I completed the full set of Live Cards and the full set of Unsung Heroes.
I was already pretty well done before FOTF popped so I can't add much more other than to say I am not digging the direction the game is headed.
I am in what I think is a largest group that exists. I fall into that category between whales and FTP. I spend a good deal of money on this game and doing that last year, though it took me until the end of the season, my Saginaw Stripers aren't too shabby. They can compete with the some of the best. Compete I say. Not usually win. It would take a few more key pieces to get up to that level but I am close.
That same dream was squashed very early after the release of 21. Made it up to Diamond fast and spent well over a grand but as more and more and MORE expensive cards came out I dropped out to just have fun with all all Negro League team and a Futures Team. I can compete very well in LIVE tournaments with every card there is to play with so there is that, too. Not a loss at all.
Just a let down.
