I think a lot of teams run in to this at some point so it's not really getting an advantage if it happens almost universally.

If everybody runs into this stuff, then the market is being oversaturated with too many PPs in general, and that's a (different) reason to not want to play. Hopefully OOTPD will take that more seriously because it's also going to discourage whales from spending money, since their money is worth less due to cheating.
