Once again, the champagne flowed freely in the Waffletown clubhouse as the Syrups punched their ticket to the post season. The team had one of their best regular seasons ever, finishing at 103-59 (third time the team has surpassed the 100 win mark). The only downside this season was the fact the Syrups were in a division with a team that won 118 games, so their 103 wins were only good enough for a wild card spot (and it took every single win to secure the top wild card spot, as the team in WC number 2 won 102 games).
Waffletown will face the Phoenix Pack Mules in the wild card match. The two teams met seven times during the regular season, with Waffletown taking the series 4 games to 3.
