For the 5th time in 6 seasons at the top tier, Waffletown secured a post season birth. While the team held onto the division lead in the AC West for a large portion of the season, they knew it would be a monumental feat to hold off division rival Santurce (and their squad of 16 perfect players). When the dust settled, the Syrups record of 95-67 was good enough to secure the top wild card spot and a second place finish, 4 games back of the lead.

From the mound, Ed Walsh dominated for the first half of the season (going 13-0 before being tagged with a loss), and ended up breaking the single season team record for wins (just set last season by Wood and Brecheen) with his new mark of 24

While on the subject of pitching, the staff as a whole had a stellar year, setting team records for ERA (3.18), hits allowed (1215), runs allowed (548), earned runs (512), offensive average (.225), and complete games (31).

At the plate, Harry Heilmann was in the zone anytime he game up to bat with runners on base. He finished with a league leading 145 RBIs, which was also good enough to break the team single season mark of 138 (previously held by Heilmann as well and set in 2045). Heilmann also set a new single season team mark for plate appearances at 739. Luke Appling set a new single season team mark for on base percentage at .409

Heilmann also tied the team RBI streak mark of 9, matching his own record set in 2034 and 2051 (and by George Sisler in 2050); and Ed Walsh set a new win streak mark with 13; breaking the old mark of 11 set by Eddie Plank in 2035 and Smoky Joe Wood in 2045

Wafffletown will host the Perham Dragons in the wild card match. The two teams met 7 times during the regular season, with Perham taking the series 4 games to 3
