1) The leagues are random, not based on quality.
2) More cards will be added in OOTP 20, yes.
3) When playing Challenge Mode leagues in OOTP you will occasionally be rewarded with a PT card pack when unlocking an achievement.
4) Limitations are indeed 0.2 for AVG & HR and 0.5 for 2B and 3B.
5) No, trading would open the door to cheaters, this will not be implemented in the future.
