I can see that is possible, but it's been happening quite regularly. In fact, sometimes if I add one of their listed listed player on the same day I receive it, they sometimes still reject it in their follow-up mail. This didn't happen to me in previous versions of OOTP.

Additional thing I've seeing: a team will say a deal is close and they'll think it over after I send a trade proposal to them...but then their response email demands I add a top player (most recently that I add a 23-year old, 4.5 star CF in a deal for a not-that-great prospect) to make the deal acceptable to them, which contradicts their previous claim the deal was close to being okay.
