okay, after the saturday, mar 26th patch it is no longer writing 6gb per simulated season.

does it have to save 100% of data as opposed to just what has changed on auto-saves / saving and exiting?

e.g.
at the end of the year it saves 2-3gb or thereabouts. then, i click to exit after the sim and auto-save ends and it writes another 2-3gb as it exit/saves even though nothing has changed or could have changed.

lots of excess writes for no reason and often. not just this example. if the backup can figure out what is new vs old and only save what has changed, i would think the save/auto-save feature can do the same thing.
