Payrolls in that league are kind of ridiculous -- I should probably reign it in soon -- so the real issue was wanting to stay within $100 million and that big deal was ruining my ability to do that, more than it was really a crazy contract except you are right. But in this league, it seems ALL of the guys on those HUGE contracts underperform once they get big money. Kind of like real life, but I'm trying to find an in-game example of a guy who actually makes big money and earns it. Explains why he was available in the expansion draft in the first place.

I took a player from Eugene Church's new dynasty Silas Delaney and inserted his great-great grandson Silas Delaney IV into my game. I liked his name.
He's based on a real life player too. I think Hank Aaron, but I don't remember who I used.
Memphis had the 1st overall pick in the draft, so we took him. I didn't really mind, he has a very "I should be in Memphis" name and I'm trying to make this team the NL version of my Great Plains Flycatchers juggernaut in the AL so memorable players are key to that experiment.
