I'll stand by my original request: please make this easier. Over the years, I've almost always been able to do what I wanted in OOTP, and the various user-created mods have been a godsend time and again (thank you to the whole community). Sometimes, though, we rely on figuring out the workaround.
It's worth remembering that this can impact the initial reaction of new customers. I know I've shown off OOTP to friends over the years and have been met with some eye-rolling when showing them the crazy steps it takes to get the setup I'm demonstrating. The design team improves things like this every year, and UX/UI is far better than back when I first started playing (IX). This is another one that would help the newbies get to the fun part faster, and would make an old vet like me just a smidge happier, too.
