I just watched the ESPN short "the Schedule Makers" and came here thinking there'd be a thread about it and while there have been many on schedule making I couldn't find one about this short (surely, LGO, you've seen it, no?). I've watched a number of
the ESPN 30 for 30 series and most of
their short films too. It was interesting, but the Great Imposter one was more so (I'm ashamed to not have known about him) as was the Tommy John and Frank Jobe one.
Of the 30 for 30 films I've seen, the best was "Once Brothers" about Divac and Petrovic. It was incredibly moving. "The Best That Never Was" was awesome too. EDIT: I've since watched "You Don't Know Bo" and it was fantastic as well.
Recently I saw "The Book of Manning" and, while I'm not a fan of Peyton or Eli, I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially how it all centered around Archie who IMO is by far the most likeable.
"Magic & Bird: A Courtship of Rivals" was another great sports doc too.
What sports documentaries have you really enjoyed and would highly recommend?
