I assume you mean games per team. In which case 25 weeks times 7 games per week equals 175 games. (For what it's worth, the Pacific Coast League had a schedule in which clubs played single games Tuesday through Saturday, with a doubleheader on Sunday. Clubs were off on Mondays, which was a travel day.)

MLB used to play a 154-game schedule over 168 days (24 weeks), so that's not that far off. If you look at the minors from earlier times, the International League used to play 154 games over 145 days (under 21 weeks), with a roster of 21 or so (the exact figure depends on the year, and I don't have the data to hand at the moment).

It depends on how much you want your players to be the "iron men" of old...
