This is largely why I wasn't worried about it. Without more involved finances, having this piece included seems a little bit silly. I'm also somewhat happy with the idea that it doesn't cost an MLB team much to gamble on a Rule 5 draft pick. The whole point is to encourage player movement, allowing players an opportunity they otherwise wouldn't have - which is good for them and good for the fans.
