Right.

I was only taking the "what they do" part to the point that they open another window or something. But no, even the placement part might be a bit of a surprise to us. I had no doubt that Aurelio (Aurelios? I'm sorry, I forget) made the icons, decided the colours, even decided the dimensions of all the graphics, but I would be a bit surprised to learn that he say, codes the part that tells the game where to put all the graphics, how to make the drop-downs appear, etc. Then again, if it's anything like making a website then that kind of code takes very little time to do. It's stuff like algorithms that probably take a lot of time to think about and then code just right.
