Hey Greg,
I'll keep my job (worst that could happen is that I retire in 4 months), but may well be transferred from the place I'm in, where I've been for almost 16 years
. I'm being forced out, after 35+ years, because another component needs another IT guy, and my boss sees me as the convenient person (the other component also wants me, for some reason). At least 11 of the 16 people that work for me will be sad to see me go. But not my deputy, who wants to kill this $27 million project because she can't get along with some folks

Happy Birthday, and how many is it (I'm 59, and looking forward to 60 on 3/1/2009)? You could benefit most from Week 9 being started over, as those dang Haymakers might not whomp you so much!
Thanks again for the kind words. I try to do my best as a civil servant. I believe in saving the taxpayers' money, and doing the right thing. I stew and can't sleep when politics, or vanity, rule over a logical decision.
But I'll keep on punchin'!
