Stage Two

I've made a little modification to my Python script that allows me to enter in the primary characteristics of the boxers if I want to. What this means is, I am now opening up the After the War dynasty for you, the reader, to add in your own guys! If that sounds like something you want to do, just post the following in this thread in the way of a character sheet:

Name: (insert name here)
Nickname: (if you want one)
Hometown:
Skin color: (not used in determining ratings!)
Style: Boxer, Slugger, or Either
Handedness: L or R

Punching Prowess: (Bad, Mediocre, Average, Good, Excellent)
Hitting Power: (Bad, Mediocre, Average, Good, Excellent)
Heart: (Bad, Mediocre, Average, Good, Excellent)
Defense: (Bad, Mediocre, Average, Good, Excellent)

Origin story: Bear in mind that we're operating in the year 1867 but other than that feel free to get creative.

**************
A word on creativity: those of you who remember the ill-fated OT universe known as OT Nemesis Boxing (ill-fated in that it was totally wiped out in the Great Crash of 2005) know that I am big on creativity. Simply put, the better/funnier/more fistic the boxer you put together is, the better he will be. Conversely, if you create a guy named Greaty McGreaterson and list his origin as "HE GRATEST OF ALL TIEM!!!!11!", he'll probably become a tomato can, even if you set all his characteristics to "Excellent". That's because I will move them down to poor.

This also applies to setting actions in between months. If you want to tell your boxer to do something, just post that he's doing it and I'll post the results shortly. If the task he's doing hasn't been used before by someone else, you'll probably get a decent-sized bump to your boxer's abilities. If it has, whatever gains you get will probably be compensated for elsewhere. If you're just copying other people, expect your boxer to get worse. Don't expect changing a couple words around to count as something entirely new, either. For example: CONN CHRIS tells me that his boy Candy Jack Jacoby gets high on nutmeg before fights, which infuses him with robustness and makes him punch harder. I give Candy Jack a +2 to his Hitting Power. Stupid Johnny Slick (to pick out a name at random) then comes around and says "Okay, my guy Ulysses Simpson sniffs oleander". Oops! Ulysses found out that oleander makes his knees wobbly and just permanently lost 3 points of Avoid Knockdown.

Make sense? Then make your characters and get it on!
