To add to 98Yankees' responses:
3- You'll have a hints.txt file somewhere in your OOTP folders, which is where these messages come from (I'm on a Mac, and I'm not sure of paths on PC). You can open the file in your favorite text editor and read all the hints if you like.
4- If you go to Manager menu --> Options, on the bottom left you'll see a list of checkboxes under the heading 'Exit Auto-Play'. If you uncheck all the boxes, you can sim a whole season at a time uninterrupted (the game always exits after the postseason if you run a team). I normally leave the 'When a player is injured' and 'When a player is eligible to come off the DL' checked- important roster moves may be needed- but uncheck the rest. I'm sure others do different!
