We do 7 day sims and currently do 14 days for waivers and 21 for DFA.

Realistically, there's no difference between 8 days for waivers and 14 days. They're still not going to see the results until the next sim. Anything under 8 days for waivers is too short because the players will clear before anyone sees they're on waivers.

To get around the DL issue, I allow owners to PM me instructions when a guy is coming off the DL. I do this rather than switch to 8 day sims because I like simming on the Monday-Sunday schedule.
