Hey guys. Thanks for the responses. No, I haven't changed the league financial settings - I left it all defaults. I guess it's my bad for not noticing the situation sooner.
I think I might save the league then do what everyone says - reset the league financials and adjust down player salaries. In 2013, guys like Joe Mauer and Brian McCann are great catchers (and 30 and 29 respectively) but their stats (~.280, 30, 100) wouldn't warrant $22-25m a year in any era. So they're going to have to accept less. I can't have them sit out, especially if there is a problem in that area of the game also (if they sit out enough years they'll just retire). That's almost worse than allowing teams to go into the red to sign them.
