I think it would be pretty hard to re-work the engine just to give us more rating categories to worry about. Im really happy with only having to look over the three rating categories that ootp uses now. pitch ratings would just add clutter and make you have to balance the value of all of these pitches against one another. i just think it would be to hard to say that just because a pitchers curveball breaks more or is thrown faster he is better. mark redman and josh fogg are among many pitchers who dont throw great pitches but get batters out and its just gotta be so much simpler to just rate them more generally than specifically. believe me, when you get too specific with the ratings it starts to mess up the stats and they arent as accurate to real life as they would be otherwise. just dont ask for too much change to aspects of the game that work prefect as it is.
