Injury Question

Just a quick question that maybe somebody could answer for me.. My right fielder who is probably not a superstar but a perennial all star (6 appearances in 7 years) has a bit of an injury problem....

Does velocity even really increase? I'm not sure it should past age 18 or 19, if anything it should decrease as pitchers age even in their early-mid 20s

No age limits or anything, I just use the default values for them and it seems to work fine. The season doesn't start until after the draft takes place in June.
