Pitching
Your 1872 Harlem HS pitching staff is:
SP1 Armen 'Harlem' Donahue Age: 15 (52/57) SP2 Dane Roche Age: 16 (35/42) SP3 Terry La Combe Age: 16 (34/43) RP1 Miguel Barela Age:16 (33/68) RP2 Willie Ocon Age: 14 (32/80) RP3 TJ Kaplan Age:17 (32/43) RP4 Jeff Kinsler Age:16 (32/48) RP5 Brian Mordhorst Age: 17 (32/45) RP6 Scott Jemison Age:18 (32/48) CL1 Chris Fischer Age:14 (32/80) Our #2 pitcher last year was an unexpected loss as he moved away in the offseason (I lost track of him. Not sure if he was draft eligible and I missed it but I thought he wasn't.) We're excited to have lots of players above the default 32. Ocon and Fischer are buried Freshman. Neither has the stamina to get out of the bullpen and it's rare for us to rely on relievers. |
Hitting
Our team has gaps in fielding this year. We don't have a backup 2B, SS or CF. Our starting LF is our backup 3B. None of our backups is a suitable pinch runner.
C John Roback Age:18 (20/50) 1B Bryan Canby Age: 17 (20/45) 2B Rene Hernandez Age: 18 (20/49) 3B Ryan Peloquin Age: 16 (20/49) SS Adam Meiman Age: 17 (20/51) LF Andy Kraft Age: 18 (20/40) CF Rick Mitchell Age: 17 (23/59) RF Josh Weston Age: 16 (20/47) Backups: C Danny Hernandez Age:17 (20/41) 1B Ernie Flaherty Age: 18 (20/36) 1B David Jimenez Age: 14 (20/45) 1B Nick Morgan Age:14 (20/44) LF Jose Davelos Age:14 (20/44) Brian Camby had a good offseason and camp and Flaherty ends up riding the bench despite being a starter last year. Jimenez looked very good as well and nearly took the catcher position from Roback. He'll bench for both catcher and first. Armen Donahue will backup 2B and SS for days he's not pitching. That will give us options if a starter is tired. |
