Did any of the pitchers hit 2 HRs? LOL.
Yes, that's an amazing event.

Early June and a 32 year old Babe Ruth already has 28 home runs. On pace for 89. He's also leading the AI in batting average and RBI's. Crazy thing is, I think his White Sox only have 40 home runs as a team. The Sox are currently in 3rd place behind the Indians and Twins.

Cool. Three no-hiitters on the same day.
And Babe Ruth! He might be as good as Aaron Judge. |

Up to June 19th and Ruth now has 32 home runs. His pace has slowed down a bit in June.

Up to July 9th and Ruth has 41 home runs. On pace for 78. His average has dipped some and he now finds himself in 3rd place in the AL batting race. He just reached 100 rbi and still holds the top spot in that category. Ruth's White Sox still trail the Minnesota Twins in the AL. The Astros and Royals are both in the race as well. Mickey Mantle in the twilight of his career is playing 1B for the Astros. The Mick has 21 home runs as we close in on the All-Star break. The Astros have a young Nolan Ryan leading their rotation. He's tough to hit, but at this point he's walking way too many batters.
Pittsburg is in first place in the NL with St Louis and Philadelphia the closest contenders. |

The Babe's pace is now down to a measly 75 for the year. July 28th and he has either 46 or 48(at work). He is back to second in the AL batting race to Carl Taylor. Had a scare over the last week, as Ruth left a game due to injury. He ended up being day to day and didn't miss a game.

August 28 1982. Babe is up to 54 home runs on the season. His pace is right at the 72 the preseason predictions predicted. His White Sox simply can't gain any ground on the first place Minnesota Twins, remining 6 game back in the standings. The Sox are 2 games up on the the 3rd place Yankees, so they're currently in place to get the wildcard, but I'm sure they would love to have 1st place and the 1 game advantage that brings in the League Championship Series.
The NL race is a lot closer, as the Pirates lead over the Cardinals is just 2 1/2 games. The Phillies have hit the skids and have fallen under .500 on the season. Meanwhile, the Houston Astros have taken over 3rd place in the NL. The Cardinals Zack Gelof is one home run away from establishing baseball's 30-30 club. |

Hope he turns it on and gets to 74, maybe forestalling the steroid era mess of the historical record!
