Delgado and both Varsho cards can be trained as catchers. But that may not b true, on looking at the cards. Still, trying to train the live Varsho might not be a bad experiment.

My temp solution was potentially a combinator varsho. At least pump his d up a little. But that doesn't seem to exist either

I've tried multiple franchise themed teams in PT over the years; KC, PIT, AZ. It's damn near impossible to field a competitive themed team with the cards that OOTP publishes for each franchise. I've always had to add cards of players that once played/coached/college/born in the franchise's city/state.

Martin played for Toronto so I'd roster his LA card for a Blue Jay themed team.

They can make PT a lot more fun if it wasn't all about making money.
