Missing Rookies

I played the 1969 Season and moved on to 1970. In Spring Training, I don’t see any 1970 rookies. I have “import historical rookies” checked under advanced settings. Do I need to purchase the 1070 Season, to get those rookies?

I went ahead and purchased the 1970 Season, downloaded it, went back into the sim started in 1969. Still no 1970 rookies.

It occurs to me I haven't previously played through a season and advanced to the next on GO. Conceivably the limited platform might not be designed for that kind of league evolution. Does anyone know? (The option to import historical rookies would suggest otherwise.) I don't want to post a bug, if this kind of historical progression was not intended.

You do need the following season, in this case 1970 to get historical rookies. It could be that by the time you purchased the 70 season it was too late to be recognized by your save. I too started in 1969, purchased all the seasons and am currently in 1979 and have had no issue. Rookies go into the draft, will not be placed on their real life team.

Thanks. That's exactly what happened. I was in Spring Training when I bought the next season, too late. I'll go ahead now and buy 1971. So, will the 1970 rookies be picked up, along with the 1971 roster changes?

I don’t know how that would work. I can only guess its one of three things. They don’t appear at all, they end up as free agents or they are melded in with the 1971 draft class. I don’t know if any of those are optimal.
