Sandlot Baseball Recruiting Thread

Sandlot Baseball recruiting. The idea behind this league differs a bit from most leagues out there. The main goal is simply to relax and have fun with baseball. This is not meant to be some uber competitive, dog eat dog affair that many leagues are. This league is designed to be casual. As such the pace will be slower and we will be letting the game do all the heavy lifting and avoid editing players as much as possible. The rules will also be kept as simple as possible. This all should add up to the league being very friendly for new players and players who have busier day to day lives.

Highlights include no rule 5 (minor league free agency granted 1 year sooner to compensate), minor league service time limits, all players enter via draft (no IFA/random scout finds), draft happens in offseason, offseason is longer than typical leagues to allow for actual negotiation with players, rolling minor league season starts to avoid the opening day crunch, live sims, World Series will be played out and live streamed.

OOTP Version: OOTP 23. Will jump to 24 after this season.
Laegue Type: Fictional
League Structure: 2x2x4 with 8 team postseason

Worth mentioning:

Rule 5 is disabled and minor leaguers hit free agency one year sooner to compensate.

Draft happens in the offseason. Fits right in with a longer offseason than most leagues seem to have. Actual negotiation with free agents can take place instead of 3 or 4 sims covering 4 months...

This league getting full with fun, quality GMs who strike the right balance between not taking ourselves or the game too seriously, and yet know how to build competitive teams. Highly recommend this for those who like to have fun and be a part of a more laid back OOTP experience.

This sounds like a good league for me. I've tried to join leagues before but usually got overwhelmed and couldn't keep up.

What are the ratings settings? What about scouting?
