Yeah, very excited about the new season and new edition of FHM! Looking forward to the reveal and start learning what the new features/updates we can expect.

I know Jeff and Adam (me) promised we'd have some great news to share with you during our regular stream tomorrow, but unfortunately due to (my) illness, that news is going to be delayed a few days.

In prior versions from like 6 to 7, do you have to purchase again? I want to grab the game but I guess I shouldn't get 7 right now if 8 is coming up within a month or so.

yes you do have to purchase again, I would recommend waiting for 8 personally

Not taking anything away someone being ill, I recently had a heart attack, but why is this being rolled out so late? The NHL season is underway, CHL teams are two weeks into the regular season, and we don't have a teaser/anticipated release date yet. It's nice to start a gm sim before teams hit training camp.

Is the development team in over their heads? I can understand that, but there's no transparency. I'm a big supporter of this franchise, and would hate to see it dwindle, but this is going to turn faithful buyers off. In my opinion, a game with a few new options, updated rosters, and schedules is much better than a late "perfect" game.

As I said, not trying to crap on the developers, just voicing concerns from a loyal consumer of FHM and OOTP. Let's get it out there before buyers lose interest.

Don't know what you are so concerned about. This year and last year the delay's were due to (I'm guessing) partly to covid and partly due to not wanting to announce anything until the game was ready to be announced. They had planned to announce Wed but Adam was sick so they will do that when the time is right.

I found an alternate program today. I hadn't gotten FHM because the online league functionality is file sharing based. Didn't know if maybe V8 would have online league. This one I found is browser based but has online leagues. Will see how it goes.
