Moving Day?

Developers, isn’t it time to move this thread to OOTP 24? Or, alternatively, to start a new thread? This seems to a place where newer players are drawn to ask basic (and not-so-basic) questions about the game. A judgment-free place to get some advice. I admit I took advantage as a new player, and now I try to pay that forward by regularly checking the posts and giving advice when I can. My guess is that this thread saves you posts in the technical thread or error posts. In other words, this is a way of crowd-sourcing advice.

I'm guessing they decided not to do new to the game for 24. I'm slightly favor that meaning I wouldn't argue against continuing new to the game.

But some of the questions asked here aren't newbie level questions. Those asking don't realize that. Not their fault. (They're new!!! LOL.) So its hard for the forum to achieve its apparent designed purpose of being a place to post questions that are more easily answered.

Some good points. But based upon how this forum (and its previous-version predecessors) worked, I can't see a good argument for not having one in the v 24 forums. I mean, based upon a random review of 2023 posts in this forum, it seems like it worked pretty well to me. Surely, those same type of questions will get answered in the v24 General or the combined Hist/Fict forum, but again, I don't see a good reason not to have a Newbie Question forum...

Not gonna lose any sleep over it, though. That's for sure
