What is his current and potential Contact (and Eye because walks matter) rating? Also, what scale (20-80,1-100, etc) is being used so those numbers have context? What is his age? What level is he at? MLB?

To attach images, look for the button below the reply box called "Go Advanced", hit that and a new text reply box appears with more options. Below that box will be an option to "Manage Attachments", select that and a smaller pop-up window appears, find the screenshot and attach it. Then hit "upload", close the pop-up window and submit the reply.

You can't make him a better hitter. What you can do is determine whether his current production matches his ability and then make a decision based on that whether to replace him.

To expand on this a bit. For the most part a player's abilities are just that and are not something you can alter. Having good coaches can help, particularly with development if the player has potential they have not reached. However, often a poor hitter is just going to be a poor hitter and so you need to factor that into your roster construction and/or decide whether he fits your roster at all.
