Update on the first OOTP 25 patch!

Hey guys,

originally we wanted to release a OOTP 25 patch today, but we have decided to give it a bit more testing because we implemented more changes than initially planned. So, the patch will go live tomorrow, as will the 25th Anniversary Pack for PT users. Here's the preliminary changelist:

Updated roster sets, including future draft pools, and fixed historical database issues (need to create new game for changes to take effect) (this includes ratings boosts to many of the top draft prospects as well as global adjustments to the talent levels of KBO pitchers and to a lesser extent, hitters)
Tweaked rating bar displays, darkening the potential part if bigger than the current rating
Tweaked Negro League player rating calculation, including in relation to the adjusting minimum AB & IP setting
Fixed demoting players also removed them from the development lab
Fixed possible crash after loading a game from a template with the development lab enabled
Further adjustments to scouting discovery strength
Improved development lab AI
Updated IAFA display of penalties
Adjusted amount of good international amateur discoveries as well as when these get added to top prospect lists
Made the background of the content boxes in the light skin brighter
Fixed coach relationship headers
Fixed error in import player stats
PT: Fixed problems opening Choice Packs
PT: Fixed incorrect stadium lists
PT: Updated timing on open pack screen
PT: Dimmed explosion of pack opening sequence a little
PT: Updated data for combinator cards in card sale dialog
PT: Updated “unknown” conditions on tournaments
PT: Fixed error with saved roster not showing when you enter a tournament
PT: Added card release date to card shop export

Sorry, but without more details, I can't answer your question. But in general, what's not listed in the changelist has not been changed.

is the problem with changing sell order price in PT fixed on this one? the one where it says you don't have enough PP and banishes your player until you log back in?

Another mod mentioned it would be updated

"The draft classes will be fixed up in the patch we're putting out this weekend. We didn't adjust the top players ratings after raising the MLB average ratings a little, which is why they were so low. They should be much better looking now, and we'll keep working on them over the next few months too.

The int discoveries should be fixed too. It's not necessarily so much that they're too good as such (though we did tweak down the amount of good pitchers we were generating), but that we were too willing to put them high on the top prospects lists when they were still very young."

Yes, as I mentioned a couple other places, the 2024-26 draft pools have significantly more highly rated players now. They still can probably use a few more, but it should be much better and we will continue refining and adding to them over time.

We have adjusted that a little so hopefully it will be improved

I feel like he was referring to how low the ratings are for the draft class... which it seems you say is fixed/updated in the upcoming patch.

For what it's worth I did notice the lower ratings across the board for the draft but have not played enough to know it's implications or if it is right/wrong... just commenting on what I believe OP was asking.

We're still working through some issues with that new setting, so it won't be available quite yet.

Are Int FA improved? I just went through the signing period and now the top 10 prospects in the league are newly signed international free agents.

The start date for the US-based complex leagues is wrong. The game is currently using May 5, and it should be Jun 5. This creates a situation where drafted players get zero opportunity to play if they go to the FCL or ACL.

Love OOTP and all the advancements you have made, but that Draft Database bug that is in this game is huge to me. Perhaps only me, however I doubt that. Will that ever be addressed and returned to the way it has been for every OOTP Set since '07?

no dice, still not working correctly. it's brutal, basically have to take down any sale entirely when you want to change the price

update: in the 20 minutes since i posted this it's working better: up to like 90% work rate which is much better than the 90% fail rate it was before

update 2: yeah, just had 5 in a row not work. still needs work.
