I did a very good thing for the players of PT23 yesterday.

There are just not enough active players at this point, and the pool of historical cards is HUGE - not enough packs being pulled, not enough new cards coming in - particularly with perfects and the top cards, of course.

So... I took team #2 and #3 and sold everyone I had (that wasn't locked in, of course), and then bought perfect packs with the PP - and then sold everything for the lowest buy orders or super cheap prices when there was no buy order. I ended up buying HUNDREDS of perfect packs so far, and I still have a million PP up for sale total for both teams (so still a lot of perfect packs left to pull when accounting for selling everything in them and re-buying).

The hope was to pull a good number of highly sought after cards and I hit pay dirt - I pulled and sold last night: 2 Ty Cobbs! 2 Josh Gibsons! 2 Yadier Molina! 2 Tony Gwynn! YES, I pulled 2 of each of those. Also, Jacob DeGrom, Cliff Lee, Frank Thomas, once each. Also, pulled 5 Topps Bunt Perfects (funny, in like 20K packs since Bunt came out I've never pulled one on my main account!). Also, about 10 perfects in the Milestone 2 mission set, dumped those for half price. Also filled every buy order basically for any Live Perfect (there were a load for Aaron). I did fill quite a few 20,001 orders (Carlos Beltran, anyone?) when I had the chance. And I have about 50 up for sale at the moment for like half their normal L10.

Can like 10 guys who read this be as cool and awesome as I am? Then we can really get this market back to being semi-reasonable. On the plus side, it's a lot of fun ripping hundreds of perfect packs. It was wild pulling all the top cards like that.

Thank you! I have to believe you filled my buy orders for Gwynn (200) and Lee (162). I wasn't expecting to get them, but I was putting up all I had for those two teams because you never know....

Congrats, for making yourself part of the problem in the game economy. The problem is velocity, not prices right now. You are tanking prices for other FTP players that may win/get awarded packs, and the resulting sales they could have achieved to fund changes to their team.

After I read this comment, first I was like:

So... what you're saying is you think it's against TOS for me to sell all of the cards on my team and buy more packs and sell more cards?

After thinking about this, then I was like:

There's zero chance a player is not allowed to sell all of their cards in the game. There's zero chance a player is not allowed to buy packs with the PP he gets. Rinse and repeat.

The Gwynn was almost certainly me - I even pulled another, so 3 Gwynn's. Definitely pulled and sold a Lee for whatever the buy order was, just can't remember how much it was - so that may have been me also

Pulled a Satchel Paige today, as well as about 5 other perfects that have a value of 90K or up (all still from the same revolving PP) - one of the two teams are down to zero PP, but the other one has still got 300-400K in sell orders. Hopefully I'll get a few more gems.

Thank you!. I think selling cards cheap is one of the few things that make this game enjoyable (and playable as you mention). I sell cards cheap and quickly--sometimes I even make more PP than people who sell high and slowly.

I did a similar thing about a week ago. It was not nearly on the level that you had, but I went well below L10 on a ton of cards that were needed for sets building. All of these L10s were crazy high, so I knew the price was being inflated by price gouging.
