No, you'd have to start a new save.
At least, it might apply in that it would stop the development from proceeding any further in an old save, but it wouldn't reverse any excessive development that already happened.

There are. If you go to settings > players & facegen about halfway down that screen on the left you have a bunch of development settings where you can speed it up or slow it down as you like.

When the new patch comes out will we have to start a new franchise for it to take place? I can live with the first draft class being messy it’s the years beyond that would bug me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This issue has not been fixed, I've downloaded all of the latest patches. This release has been incredibly frustrating this year.

Can you expand on what isn't "fixed", and what steps you took that led you to conclude this? Without more details it's impossible for anyone else to either corroborate the findings or for the devs to comment on it.

Sure, no problem. Pitchers are still fully formed products by the time the draft rolls around. I'd say about 90% of the pitchers that have a potential of at least 35 are college aged (21-23). I will go into commissioner mode and take a peek under the hood - and most of these guys have ratings that are greater than their potential. In other words, the majority of draft classes are consisting of pitchers that are major league ready, which is highly unrealistic.

Did you start a new save after applying the patches? Unfortunately the players that were misdeveloped under the previous broken version won't be removed by the update, and it will take a while to pull them all through the system.
From my end the updates seem to have fixed things, especially in terms of no longer seeing under the hood ratings greater than potential which is a clear bug. I have been testing as patches are released to make sure the issues are actually fixed. So I would recommend to start a new save and see if it is still a problem for you. |

I didn’t see any of this rapid development in OOTP 22. How did I miss the bus? I drafted Jack Leiter for my Orioles, and, despite decent initial ratings and a great start at the Low A Eastern Shore League, he stalled out in High A Aberdeen. He won’t be in a Major League rotation anytime soon. I’m shutting him down out of fear his arm is tired.
