Some Versions Of Same Card Better Than Others?
I was wondering if all duplicate cards are the same. For example my friend and I both have the 95 Special Edition Billy Williams. We have almost always played in the same league. His usually hits 40+ home runs with a batting average of around .300 and has only had one season under 30 home runs in 7 seasons. Mine hits around .265 and has only had a 30 home run season twice in 7 seasons and has never hit 40. Is this a coincidence or is his Billy Williams actually better?

There could be park factors at play.
Are his parks friendlier to lefties? |

He doesn't have to face HIS pitchers. (half joking) Joker is correct to think about park factors. That can be huge. Another factor could be lineup construction. Where in the lineup do they appear? Who is batting around them? Who comes up more often with men on base?
Then factor in the RNG and maybe you pissed someone off on the OOTP team. I think they have a logarithm that assigns people they don't like only bad RNGs. /s (last one is a joke)
