This format is MUCH easier

Yeah, this format is much easier than what was used for v20 as far as advertising for/about online leagues.

I hope everyone who griped about the three category system likes this better!

Can we PLEASE get some order in this cluster**** of a forum? You can't find anything for all the 'I wanna join a ……….' and 'how do I' threads.

For the love of God, narrow it down to the three types of leagues!

I don't get it...

Are leagues not allowed to post their own threads anymore?

As far as I always knew it, leagues would post threads with openings and prospective owners would respond or find private messages.

With all the posts from owners seeking leagues.. is it expected to work in the reverse fashion now? That doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Of course, but the Online Leagues is too general. What if I'm looking for an historical league? I have sift through everything to find it.

I'm just asking that they be categorized.

Half the leagues you have no idea if there fictional, historical or modern, most of them post something like "ABL as opennings" is it fictional? Historical? Modern? OOTP as moved on to working with MLB and is being used on the Baseball Reference website, yet their own forum as stepped back in time and looks amateurish.

Sure that would be nice. But there's honestly not that much usually to sift through that it's that daunting. Some leagues are hybrid too and thus would be hard to categorize. It usually takes about 10 seconds to open a thread, see it's not what you want and move on.

What is unnecessary and annoying are individual owners posting threads saying they are looking for a league. That seems lazy, but also unneeded forum clutter, when surely any league with openings can just make a post of their own.

The owners responding to these types of posts usually have their own league forum posts a couple threads down too.

The thing is the clutter you talk about, GMs looking for leagues had it's own section (sticky) in 20 so if the set out had been the same it would be cleaner.

Are the postings by people looking for a league done because it is awkward to search through the league posts?

1 -- get one topic heading for everyone looking for a league.and lock it on top

2 -- for league opening, eiither use subforums for the main league types

or

Ask that all the league opening announcements start with the league type in the topic heading.
" HIST - MidCenturyLeague converting from OOTP 20"
" MOD - QLeague2020 needs 2 GMs" etc.

Nobody will do anything about it. They're all busy with PT.

PING: Markus, make me (or SOMEONE) a mod of this forum so that it can be cleaned up and overseen properly. Whoever is the present mod isn't doing anything. Just look at it! How would anyone find what they're looking for without it taking a half hour or more!
