I hope they do! Huskies will be lucky to be 6-6 and I am a diehard Husky fan who went to school there. I am just realistic that this team needs more seasoning as does its coach. It ain't your 2023 Huskies eh?

The Mariners are only 2.5 games out of the wild card with their recent hot streak. It used to seem their only chance to make the playoffs was to win the division but that no longer seems to be the case.

However they do not own the tie-breakers with those closest to them so more like 3.5 games. It is an unlikely scenario as they do not play any of those they are chasing. They have a better chance to catch the Stros and even that is doubtful unless they finish like 11-1 or 10-2. Ain't gonna happen this year.

Obviously unlikely but more likely than it was a week or two ago. The Mariners have a knack for making the unlikely happen.

The 5 win hawks have already won 2 of their games and Tua is out next week!

TBH Geno has to be the most underrated player in football right now. That man put the team on his back yesterday. Kudos to the D for constantly putting Jake Brisket under pressure (negative kudos for the run D although NE does stuff with 6 down linemen we’re unlikely to see from anyone else), which, he was annoyingly getting out of it early but after the first 3 or so drives the effects of constantly moving him off of his spot were easy to see.

I know NE is not supposed to be good but I think their defense is and they did just beat up Cincinnati on the road…

It's nice to have a team centric quarterback that isn't in it for himself.

They actually don't otherwise they would have been in more than one playoff run in the past 10 years.

1995 - The Mariners are 12.5 games behind the AL West leading Angels but come back to win the division.

2001 - The Mariners win 116 games despite having never made it to the World Series before.

2022 - The Mariners are 37-42 but carry a 14 game win streak into the playoffs for the first playoff appearance since 2001.

So I'd say the Mariners have done some magical things a few times even if they haven't won it all.

3-times over a 47 year period. Now that is a stretch to say this is "trend" cause you know it is not. But I appreciate your blind optimism.

And I appreciate your pretending to be a Mariners fan so you can crap all over a team you don’t actually root for. I’m sure it’s very fun for you.

NE has a real shot at beating the Jets next week and I think that the Hawks get a hard fought W at home against the depleted Dolphins. Should be a fun week 3.

He just seems like a nice guy and isn't in it for the money. Not that there's anything wrong with getting paid but some guys underperform after signing a big contract.

If it were up to me I'd rather keep Smith as QB rather than say, go after someone like Prescott.
