starting an online league

hey all, I have been reading on here since I bought OOTP6 in June and finally decided I needed to make a post... My brothers and I set up a league based in Ohio cities on my computer and have been playing it all summer. Now it is time for me to head back to school and I would love to have an online league so we could all keep playing. I need to know a) how to set that up. b) if we can keep playing our same league and c) what utilities should I get? If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it. This game has been a ton of fun and I would hate to lose this league now. thanks for the help

I'm not 100% positive you can switch a league to online after its started, I imagine someone else can chime in on that one.

If you are just trying to do a league where you and your bros participate all you need to do is one of you act as the commish to sim the games. The others are online GMs. You sim the games and then you need to send them the league file so they can update and prepare for the next sims.

Heres a link full of good info

There’s no real difference between an online league and an offline one, except for configuring the league settings to connect to your league server (the league server is the online ‘central base’ of your league), and of course the way that the owners make their changes (by submitting their team files). You can take an offline league to the web any time you want. You basically just need some web space. You can easily take your Ohio league online. Does it have any empty teams or are they all taken? If some teams have computer managers, you could fill up the rest of the teams with human GMs by advertising in this forum.

The best utilities for enhancing the OotP experience are CatoBase and (for financial leagues) BOSI. You can find details on these in the Mods forum.
