Can't bring in the relief pitchers and other thangs

First off, I just got this game last night, and unfortunetly it hasn't been as fun as I had hoped with the bugs.

Ok, I'm simming this season and playing out the games, but for some reason, every time I try to put in relief pitching, drag and drop; it goes to the player card. It won't let me put in the relief, and it seems the drag and drop feature doesn't work for me to put in a relief pitcher and I have to sim the last innings to change pitching.

I also just have wierd lockups and crashes for no reason while playing out the game, or while simming the weeks.

If I try to initialize the sound, the game crashes as well.

This is all within the first 2 hours of playing the game.

It at all possible can I download a patch, say 6.01 and reinstall that?

Anyways, my system specs:

Compaq presario x1000 laptop
Pentium M-1.4
768mb ram
40 GB HD

I have no other software issues on my computer.

I've never had a problem subbing players in and play out almost all of my games. The other issues might be addressed here:

You may need to "disable" in-game sounds in "game setup". As you may or may not know adding sound to ANY program brings up the possibility for many more conflicts with other programs, drivers, etc on a PC.

You may try updating your sound card drivers, but not sure it will help.

More than likely one of the following is the problem:

-The same position is listed twice in the lineup.
-The same player is listed twice in the lineup.
-One position is missing.
-An "injured" pitcher is scheduled to start a game.

Guess this is all just hit and miss. It still crashes on exit of a game I play out, luckily it saves the results.

Try going into game setup and changing the browser that is used to open the boxscores.
