Unhappy Some questions about pitcher ability

What does "stuff" exactly affect to the player?

And how could I increase "velocity" and "poise"?

Well, having good stuff is having your cureball break a little more, your fastball move a little more and your sinker fall off a table.

I suppose stuff is having more quality/effective pitches, which equates to being harder to hit against.

As for increases, for pitcher I do not know. I'm on my first one and have had none so far. I hear poise is difficult to increase, but velocity can be increased by strength training, specifically the arm.

Control was easier to increase than Poise for me.

Stuff makes your pitches move more. I've had a pitcher who had a 90 rating in stuff, but only 20 in velocity who struck out at least 200 a year & ended up the all-time leader. Poise you can raise by reading the right books, but it doesn't really develop until 22-23 years old.

Velocity can be developed with arm strength workouts, especially ones that also help pitching skills.

I created a starting pitcher with 100 points in control who walked something like a batter every 100 innings. At least one season he didn't walk anybody.

Seems like some of the pitching things could be tweaked a bit

When you said you increased Poise by reading books, are you talking about the rating points, or the overall Poise Talent? I have seen dramatic increases in everything so far, but my Poise is maxed at 10, unable to increase. I'm already a 29 year-old RP.

I also didn't put any points in Charisma and only one in Constitution. Does this have something to do with it?
