Will patch 27.2.56 apply to existing offline saves?
Will patch 27.2.56 apply to existing offline saves?
The new patch has some GREAT fixes in it, and I was curious since I've been asked this a quite a bit lately since the beta patch dropped and don't want to give a wrong answer. lol |

The dev team will typically call it out in a very obvious fashion, several times, in update post if a certain portion will not transfer to current saves. it's safe to assume everything does transfer to current saves otherwise. I know it's a top priority of there's to ensure the times a new save would be required is minimal as possible.
So safe to assume everything transfers for most recent patch. Last edited by Benz0709; 04-28-2026 at 10:03 AM. |

Yeah, I know majority of the time there’s no need to worry. But this reply on the main thread for the beta patch had me worried and was hoping for some clarification. Haha Unsure if this applies to only historical saves or what. Last edited by TeeClev; 04-28-2026 at 01:04 PM. |

I think that was specific to already imported pitchers, no?

It looks like this was specific to historical games where IRL pitchers were importing with some pitch ratings mixed up. In that case, I think youÂ’d need to start a new save, since youÂ’re essentially changing the underlying build of an already-generated player, which ends up being locally saved data. I donÂ’t think any patch or game update can retroactively alter locally saved files which would be pretty standard for most PC or console games. Anything related to the game engine itself like batted-ball distribution, 1B putout adjustments, or tweaks to generated draft classes should be fine to continue with an existing save. The only real exception I can think of would be if a draft class was already generated. |
