Day-to-Day Injuries of Pitchers
Day-to-Day injuries can be subdivided into Influences Hitting, Influences Throwing, and Influences Running.
If there is no influence on throwing, does it make sense to put the pitcher on Injured List? The designated hitter is valid. |

If you play a guy injured, regardless of the injury type it makes them more likely to get reinjured. Pitchers get hurt so much in turn that I tend to sit them through that “back stiffness” injury you’re alluding to that doesn’t have an effect on throwing.

The truth depends on each person, at least for me my important players and prospects if they have any type of injury do not play, while the rest of the roster only do not play when it directly affects something of their game, for position players it would be hitting, running, etc. and for pitchers if they affect pitching

Pitchers I really try to avoid pitching with D2D injuries due to the risk of further injury.
Hitters, it depends what part of their game is affected by the injury, but in general I will give them a few extra off-days and DH them a bit as well |

I usually make them rub some dirt on it, unless it's a player I really want to protect.
