Question about downloads

Okay so let's say I download a fighter who already exists, only this is him in a different weight class - like for example I add a MW version of Ezzard Charles. Being that it's a download, it's a separate file on my hard drive and in the game, but with the same name and number in Boxrec.com. My question is does an outcome of a fight from one show up on the other? In other words, LH Ezzard Charles wins a decision in his first bout. Does the MW version I downloaded and installed now have a 1-0 record? The reason I'm asking this is because I have such duplicates of a lot of fighters, and combining them so they're each only one file seems like a lot of work, and I'm hoping it will prove unecessary.
