He is "Nationally extremely popular" and my team has won the WS both years too.....I've built a nice team, just pulled off a 3-peat playing Henry Aaron's career starting with Milwaukee.
Managed to trade for Clemente, who isn't as good as RL Clemente, but a .300 hitter. Aaron hasn't turned into historically great Aaron, but he's the best 2nd basemen in the game by a mile. Eddie Mathews is the guy who is turning into the all-time great. At age 29 he has 410 HR's already with an average WAR of 9.

I've had a couple of games where Clemente wasn't as good as real life. Although he's good in my current game, better than real life Gus Bell and Bob Skinner kept him in the minors two years.

ERA means nothing.
Game places a high value on wins. Which pitcher had the most innings pitched. Say reliever #1 comes in with no one on, 2 outs, and allows a hit and then gets an out for a save. Reliever #2 comes in with a runner on 3rd, 2 outs and allows a hit and then gets an out, he gets a blown save even though his pitching was identical. Or what if someone committed an error for.reliever #2??? |
