Multiplayer custom game
I have an FHM6 multiplayer custom game, I want to import to FHM7, however I am not sure if it will work.
I was controlling multiple teams in the FHM6 game, but that doesn't seem possible in fhm7, Multiplayer and controlling multiple teams only seems to be possible in the standard game in fhm7, Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Will the import work? |

No, it should work fine in 7. What happens when you try to import it?

I haven't tried yet. I have to get the FM6 game to July 1 to import, and I am only at the trade deadline in January.
I got concerned when I was messing around with FHM7 and trying to create a new multiplayer custom game. I couldn't figure out how to do it. What was I doing wrong? I could create a multiplayer standard game, no problem. But that option uses real players and I prefer fictional players. |

So how do you setup a new multiplayer custom game?
I am still waiting for a response. I have looked at the manual and it is no help, and the dialog box when you start a new custom game doesn't provide an online option like starting a standard game. How do you do it? |

Ah, I see the problem, the multiplayer option isn't appearing when you start with one of the NHL/NHL+ options. We'll fix that. It's there if you start with or add a fictional league, though, so for right now you can get it with the NHL options if you also add a single fictional league (a small farm league will work fine without affecting your game much), you'll get the multiplayer option on its setup screen and that'll be enough to put the game in multiplayer mode.

That worked!
Thank you. I was starting to think I was technologically challenged. That said, adding a league seems to do some odd things to the fictional player pool. In scenario 1, I added an additional junior league modelled on the USHL. The result was it created a large number of high end junior players. The top 10 draft prospects were all from the USHL, and they were all 1-1.5 stars better than the best CHL players in terms of current ability. In scenario 2, I added an AHL farm league modelled on the ECHL. The result was it created a large number of 4 or 5 star ability free agents. This had not occurred in scenario 1. I will try some other scenarios tonight. I was the individual who wrote in about FHM6 creating too many high ability junior players in the first few years with a fictional player pool. That seems better in this version. One question: Will a custom league expand to include Seattle in 2021-22? That was the one disappointment with my FHM6 custom league, but I don't know if that has changed in FHM7 custom leagues, even those modelled on the NHL. Just curious. |
