Moving players from Active Roster to Minors

I am attempting to move some players from Active Roster to the minors but keep getting "This player has to be on the active roster or on the 15-day IL the entire season". The players have an exclamation mark next to their name. I am in the 1922 season as a GM. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? In League Settings > Rules...I have Enable option years "checked", and Disable right to refuse minor league assignment "Checked". Am I missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the player may have been acquired in a Rule 5 draft, which would require those demands. I’m surprised though, that there’d be multiple players, so maybe there is another factor I’m overlooking.

Sounds like rule-5 draft to me. You can't get rid of rule-5 requirements in settings other than getting rid of the rule 5 draft altogether.

Could also be a waiver claim if that is enabled during that time period.

Ever draft a guy in Rule 5, and like him, but right now he's dragging down your team? Then you release him, and try to trade to get him back, and the other team is like, "Sure! for your top 3 prospects, and your first born, maybe."
Like damn! 6 months ago, you were willing to give him up for $50,000 and a bag of sunflower seeds!
