Position Player Fatigue

Should position players remain fatigued if I only pinch hit them in a game? My CF was at 85% so I sit him so he could recover. However, during the game, I used him to PH for the pitcher and the next day he was at 84% fatigued. I wouldn't think that just letting him PH would add to his fatigue. Am I looking at this the wrong way? Thoughts?

(I also tested to make sure this wasn't related to that player and tried it the next game with my SS and the same thing happened, both players did reach base in their PH AB's) I am playing the default standard game and did not change any settings. Thanks.

If a player is fatigued and you want to rest him, you should rest him completely. That means no game activity.

Thanks for the response and if that's the way the game is, then I will do it that way. I do have to say though that this seems a little off. I wouldn't think that if a player sat an entire game that the 5 minutes required to stand up and swing the bat would contribute to fatigue... Darn kids need to toughen up.
