opening day roster spreadsheet ideas

Hey guys,

I have a fictional league that I imported from OOTP 18, and I'm doing something I've never done for spring training. I plan on keep detailed stats of all the players, and actually trying to run it like an actual spring training instead of flying through it and letting the AI decide who to have on the opening day roster.

The league uses the reserve system, no DH, so I want to carry 13 pitchers and 12 position players. I know I want 2 catchers for sure, but as far as the other 10 position players, I'm not sure how to set up my spreadsheet. I'm not sure if I want to just go IF/OF, or if I want to break it down by specific position, since a lot of players can play multiple positions now. Anybody else do anything like this, and how do you set up your spreadsheets? Most of my pitching staff is already set in place for opening day, barring injuries, but I have a lot of competition for position spots (back-up C, and IF and OF spots). I just wondered if someone had a specific spreadsheet they used that worked for them. Thanks.

Anybody have any thoughts on this, or should I just rig something up on what I think would work the best? I've never tried to play like this, always just flew right through spring training, so this is new to me.

Not sure about a spreadsheet but I would just rotate the guys to ensure equal at bats for the guys who are in competition and compare stats after every 3 games.

Are you simming of playing the games out?
