create team with players from different seasons?

i want to see how a team with a player from the 20s would do on a modern team, so without choosing alltime greats mode, how do i get a certain player with his ratings from a certain season to be in my game?

You need to be in Commissioner Mode.

From the Free Agents screen you Import Historical Player. Select the Historical Database which is in your stats folder. You'll need the player ID, you can get that from Baseball-Reference. com. Say I wanted Chili Davis, the player ID is in the URL at the end. Drop the .shtml. In this case it's davisch01. Then put in the year you want.

Once the player is imported, go to the editor. Under the player information you'll see a menu that will allow you to place him on any team.

And there you have it.
