Can't sim more than one day

Playing on steam on my macbook. Works fine if I use "FINISH TODAY" but whenever I try to sim to next week/month/game etc... the game immediately crashes. I have tried starting multiple new sandbox games and each one has the same problem.

The first thing I'd try is repairing the Steam installation in case something's gone wrong with the installation or during patching: Properties - Local Files - Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Since it's not doing it with Finish Today and happens immediately, it makes me suspect it's something not inherent in the game.

Thanks for the reply Jeff. Unfortunately, after doing that I am still experiencing the same immediate crash. Any other suggestions?

Could you upload one of the saves for us? It's unlikely, but we can check if something strange is happening when they're created that's causing crashes. Instructions for uploading to our ftp site are here, or you can put it on a file sharing site like filedropper.com or dropbox and send me the link.
