Starting free agent pitcher throws a lot of pitches!

I just got thru watching big money free agent, Johnny Cueto, who signed with Boston in my OOTP 2017 season, throw a 139 pitch, complete game. Isnt that a bit excessive for a big money free agent on opening day? 139 pitches?
Is it just me?

In real life, on Opening Day, yes. But the game doesn't understand limiting pitches early in the season. I don't think it thinks of pitch counts the way a lot of teams do either.

I am watching the A's at Seattle and the A's shelled Felix Hernandez for 5 runs in 6 1/3 innings but Hernandez wasnt pulled until he threw 140 pitches!!! OOTP is extremely realistic in some ways, but this isnt one of them.

Based on your description, I feel like this might be a bug, not intended behavior.

I'd suggest posting in the bug report forum and uploading your league files if at all possible. Thanks!

I am computer ignorant to posting bugs and loading files. Can you tell me how to do this?? Step by step, please?
I completely forgot to add that I am still playing OOTP 16. Hope that doesnt hinder getting my problem fixed.

Post it in the OOTP 16 forum, then. I've seen this problem in 17, but not as blatantly.
