Super Jeter Bros.

With Derek Jeter fatigue in the rear-view mirror for most of us, I woke up with a ridiculous idea that I wanted to put through its OOTP paces. What if Derek Jeter had two brothers (triplets) that also played MLB? Crazy, right?!? Outlandish! Who among us hasn't used the 'clone player' feature for simulation evil every once in a while?!? Who among us hasn't imported Ted Williams and then promptly renamed him after themselves as an addition to the 2014 Seattle Mariners?!? Just me? Ok then, moving on... And so was born the Super Jeter Bros... the basic gist is this: Derek is 1 of 3 brothers drafted into the MLB in 1995... it's Derek, his brother Donny (can I add a rat-tail to his facegen?) and his other brother Darryl (I see him as the Randy Quaid of the Jeter family (in a good way)). This will be their story told statistically through what will undoubtedly be three separate and distinct careers filled with intrigue, tawdry scandals, base knocks and World Series Rings... lets just hope that this dynasties quality will surpass that of its intro.

Historical League (starting in 1995).
Auto Expansion / Expansion Draft.
Recalculation is on.

With the 1995 season in the books, the Fabulous Jeter Boys seem to be off to a great start and it's only fitting that this trio of stellar ball players made their debut in the same year as the Starbucks Frappuccino. Millions of basic pre-North Face North-westerners began their journey towards obesity just as Derek, Donny, and Darryl unleashed their brand of diamond tomfoolery on the unsuspecting masses. Now, if the college freshmen girls can put down their copy of Jagged Little Pill long enough to take notice, America's Pastime will regain its place at the top of the American sporting landscape.

1995 World Series Champions: Atlanta Braves (defeated the Cleveland Indians 4-2)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Jim Thome (CLE) - .322/.455/.590, 35 HR, 117 RBI, 84.5 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Randy Johnson (SEA) - 21-10, 2.68 ERA, 255.2 IP, 339 K, 84.1 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Alex Rodriguez (SEA) - .335/.397/.576, 34 HR, 127 RBI, 83.7 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Gary Sheffield (FLO) - .314/.435/.634, 51 HR, 125 RBI, 89.5 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: Greg Maddux (ATL) - 22-8, 2.94 ERA, 257.1 IP, 194 K, 77.2 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Todd Hollandsworth (LAD) - .353/.415/.575, 27 HR, 118 RBI, 97.6 VORP

Achievements (1995)

Donny Jeter (Texas Rangers)
  • Grand Slam: versus the Boston Red Sox on July 13th, 1995.
Darryl Jeter (Chicago Cubs)
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Philadelphia Phillies on July 28th, 1995, final score 6-5.
Derek Jeter (New York Yankees)
  • N/A – though he did suffer a broken nose in late July that put him out for five days. I'd like to fabricate some tawdry and in depth yarn involving Chilli from TLC, but I feel like it is too early in this journey to soil the reputation of one of the Jeter Bros. There will be plenty of time for NKOTB styled scandal in the years to come.

In the Super Jeter Bros. Universe, the Baltimore O's won the 1996 World Series. It's ironic, don't ya think? In addition to being the year that Orioles won their first World Series Championship since 1983, 1996 would also be the year that Bill Clinton defeated Bob Dole to win his second term as President of the United States, the year that GM introduced the first Electric Car (with a top speed of 80 mph and a 90 mile range on one charge (very Tesla-ish)), and the year that Apple posted $25 million in profit, surprising tech analysts everywhere by improving manufacturing efficiency and lowering component costs. With so many amazing things happening in 1996, not including the #1 smash hit Independence Day starring the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, it was hard for the hard-hitting Jeter Bros. to make much of a dent in the pop culture & sports lexicon of 1996.

1996 World Series Champions:*Baltimore Orioles*(defeated the*Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Juan Gonzalez (TEX) - .353/.390/.730, 69 HR, 187 RBI, 95.7 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Randy Johnson (2) (SEA) - 19-3, 2.41 ERA, 217.0 IP, 274 K, 86.2 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Darin Erstad (MIL)- .324/.363/.487, 13 HR, 82 RBI, 24.6 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Jeff Bagwell (2 ) (HOU) - .343/.460/.598, 35 HR, 140 RBI, 110.8 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: Chuck Finley (LAD) - 21-5, 2.50 ERA, 234.1 IP, 230 K, 87.1 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Mike Lieberthal (PHI) - .300/.359/.519, 30 HR, 100 RBI, 44.0 VORP

Achievements (1996)

Donny Jeter (Texas Rangers)
  • 4+ Runs: 4 for 5, 2B, 3B, 2RBI, 4R versus the Minnesota twins on September 4th, 1996.
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Milwaukee Brewers on June 10th, 1996, final score 6-5.
  • 4+ Runs: 3 for 4, 2B, HR, 2RBI, 4R versus the Toronto Blue Jays on June 8th, 1996

Darryl Jeter (Chicago Cubs)
  • N/A – 1996 was not a career year for the young Cubs SS. Other than an oblique strain that kept him out of action for 3-weeks, and some persistent tabloid rumors about a relationship between him and Dangerous Minds' star Michelle Pfeiffer the other Jeter Brother had a pedestrian year by MLB standards.

Derek Jeter (New York Yankees)
  • N/A – With two years down in the Big Apple and not a single defining moment to his name, the rumored fling with Jewel carried throughout the Season by the NY Post will have to suffice as a highlight for the Yankees faithful. Sure, the dalliances with Jewel may have been enough to keep fans of the salacious happy, but it won't win him any favor with the hardcore Yankees fans.

1997 was a tumultuous year in popular culture. The Notorious BIG was gunned down in a Los Angeles parking garage, Scary Spice and her girls were taking MTV (and by extension the world) by storm, and the sardonic with of one Mr. Jerry Seinfeld was the gold standard for TV ratings. In the sports world, Tiger Woods dominated the Masters, Detroit won the Stanley Cup, Chicago won the NBA Championship, Green Bay dominated New England in Superbowl XXXI, and Mike Tyson took a sizable chunk out of Evander Holyfields ear. Amidst all this tumult, it was difficult for the Jeter Bros to make the type of splash they seem destined for, and instead we will have to settle for another step in the right direction for the triplets.

1997 World Series Champions: Houston Astros (defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Mark McGwire (OAK) - .286/.429/.627, 58 HR, 153 RBI, 87.2 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Kevin Brown (BAL) - 23-3, 1.75 ERA, 263.0 IP, 235 K, 112.5 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Jose Guillen (CHA) - .296/.340/.463, 16 HR, 103 RBI, 27.3 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Chipper Jones (ATL) - .326/.417/.580, 36 HR, 131 RBI, 91.6 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: Pedro J Martinez (MON) - 23-3, 1.97 ERA, 269.1 IP, 356 K, 109.5 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Derrek Lee (CHN) - .315/.406/.508, 20 HR, 79 RBI, 33.2 VORP

Achievements (1997)

Donny Jeter (Texas Rangers)
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Toronto Blue Jays on October 12th, 1997, final score 7-6 (Playoffs).
Darryl Jeter (Chicago Cubs)
  • Walk-off solo home run versus the St. Louis Cardinals on July 12th, 1997, final score 3-2.
  • 5+ Hits: 5 for 5, 2B, HR, RBI, R versus the Montreal Expos on June 8th, 1997.
  • 4/14/1997 - NL Player of the Week.
  • Winner of the NL Batting Title with .344 batting average.
  • Announces engagement to Mariah Carey in June 1997. The engagement was called off in July 1997 after Darryl was linked to Rebecca Romijn Stamos much to the chagrin of John and Mariah. Way down in Kokomo indeed.
Derek Jeter (New York Yankees)
  • Grand Slam versus the Toronto Blue Jays on July 6th, 1997.
  • With three years already in the books and only one game achievement to his name, Derek better get moving if he aims to go from pedestrian to legendary. Despite the triple-crown of rumors linking the young SS to Scary Spice, Sporty Spice, and that old battle ax, Madonna, the youngest (by 6 minutes) of the Jeter Bros has a lot of work to do on the baseball diamond if he is to meet the expectations of Yankees fans.

1998 marked the end of Seinfeld, the debut of the iMac and Windows 98. What it didn't deliver was a Jeter brother in the MLB playoffs. Not one - as in zero, zilch, nada... No soup for the Super Jeter Bros. So, while John Elway, the Yankee great that never was, lifted the Super Bowl Trophy, the Jeter brothers sat at home watching the MLB playoffs instead of participating in them. In the year that France won the World Cup and the year that the search engine I used to dig up that little tidbit made its debut (Google), the Jeter brothers continued to show that while their promise as baseball greats is not yet squandered each of them will need to continue to strive forward if their potential is to be unlocked soon.

1998 World Series Champions: Los Angeles Dodgers (defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Jim Thome (2 ) (KC) - .335/.452/.632, 45 HR, 110 RBI, 92.9 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Randy D Johnson (3 ) (SEA) - 23-4, 2.53 ERA, 255.2 IP, 328 K, 88.2 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: J D Drew (TB) - .303/.398/.555, 33 HR, 110 RBI, 63.0 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Barry Bonds (4 ) (SFN) - .325/.458/.635, 41 HR, 102 RBI, 101.6 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: Pedro J Martinez (2 ) (MON) - 20-7, 1.99 ERA, 252.2 IP, 363 K, 99.8 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Corey Koskie (PHI) - .312/.394/.520, 28 HR, 88 RBI, 54.7 VORP

*Note - Donny Jeter missed ~40 games due to a strained oblique.

Achievements (1998):

Donny Jeter (Texas Rangers)
  • 4+ Runs: 3 for 5, RBI, 4R, BB versus the Minnesota Twins on September 7th, 1998.
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Minnesota Twins on May 25th, 1998, final score 3-2.
  • Pearl Jam's Dallas concert is “ruined” when a shirtless, shoeless, inebriated Donny Jeter storms the stage and “sings” “Alive” and “Spin the Black Circle” with the band. The out-of-tune SS made a fool of himself for about 45 minutes before finally leaving the stage.

Darryl Jeter (Chicago Cubs)
  • 6+ RBI: 3 for 4, HR, 6RBI, 2R versus the Colorado Rockies on August 30th, 1998.
  • Walk-off solo home run versus the Atlanta Braves on May 30th, 1998, final score 3-2 (11).

Derek Jeter (New York Yankees)
  • 4+ Runs: 3 for 5, 2HR, 3RBI, 4R, 2BB versus the Seattle Mariners on August 1st, 1998.
  • Grand Slam versus the Detroit Tigers on April 19th, 1998. This is the second slam for Derek Jeter in a Yankees uniform.
  • Rumors about a raucous weekend in the Hamptons with Claudia Schiffer are never legitimized by the elusive youngest Jeter – proving once again that he may be too sly for the NY Press.
  • Selected to the 1998 All-Star Game.

1999 would bring with it a few things that are worth mentioning. The European Union banned beef imports from the US due to the widespread use of growth hormones, the worlds population surpassed six billion, and Derek Jeter made his first playoff appearance for the New York Yankees where they were unceremoniously swept from the festivities by the eventual champion Kansas City Royals. While team success eluded the the Jeter Bros, Derek & Darryl both made the All-Star team staring opposite each other during the festivities, and Donny, after another year bouncing to and from the DL, was traded to the Colorado Rockies for Melvin Mora and two pitching prospects. With Derek and Darryl well on their way, many scouts think that 2000 will usher in the reemergence of Donny Jeter as he gets a second chance in Colorado.

1999 World Series Champions: Kansas City Royals (defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Alex Rodriguez (SEA) - .356/.445/.734, 67 HR, 178 RBI, 119.9 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Randy D Johnson (4 ) (SEA) - 20-5, 2.88 ERA, 241.0 IP, 307 K, 82.9 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Erubiel Durazo (BOS) - .295/.405/.505, 27 HR, 99 RBI, 36.2 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Sammy Sosa (CHN) - .308/.391/.685, 67 HR, 161 RBI, 85.1 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: John Smoltz (LAN) - 17-4, 2.13 ERA, 254.0 IP, 261 K, 102.5 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Chris Singleton (PIT) - .312/.344/.517, 20 HR, 101 RBI, 53.0 VORP

Achievements (1999)

Donny Jeter (Texas Rangers)
  • Grand Slam versus the Cleveland Indians on May 3rd, 1999.
  • Actor Matthew McConaughey is arrested in Austin, Texas, on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting transport. Police, responding to a noise complaint, found the actor naked, playing the bongos, and surrounded by drug paraphernalia and 50 Donny Jeter Fleer baseball cards.
  • Traded to the Colorado Rockies at end of 1999 Season.

Darryl Jeter (Chicago Cubs)
  • Grand slam versus the Cincinnati Reds on September 14th, 1999.
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the San Francisco Giants on August 23rd, 1999, final score 6-5.
  • 4+ Runs: 4 for 5, 3-2B, 4R versus the Cincinnati Reds on April 14th, 1999.
  • National League All-Star selection.

Derek Jeter (New York Yankees)
  • Walk-off solo home run versus the Toronto Blue Jays on August 2nd, 1999, final score 6-5 (10).
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Detroit Tigers on June 30th, 1999, final score 6-5 (10).
  • 5+ Hits: 5 for 5, 2B, 3B, R versus the Texas Rangers on April 29th, 1999.
  • American League All-Star Selection (2).

While the year 2000 failed to produce any playoff heroics or championships for the Brothers Jeter, it did serve as a reminder to baseball fans that the triplets are likely to be a serious force in baseball for years to come. Derek managed to make his third straight all star team in the American League while Darryl made it his second in a row in the National League. Not to be outdone, the oft-injured Donny managed to put together his best season as a pro and appeared in his most games since the 1997 season en route to leading the majors with a .360 batting average. During the off-season, Derek surprised the sports world when he signed with the “win now” Los Angeles Dodgers as a free agent, effectively ending his 6-year run in the Big Apple after a season plagued by tabloid reports that linked the slugger to each member of Destiny's Child at one point or another. The move would mark the first time that all three of the Super Jeter Bros played in the same league.

2000 World Series Champions: Toronto Blue Jays (defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-3)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Mark McGwire (2 ) (MIN) - .296/.451/.716, 77 HR, 185 RBI, 100.9 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Randy D Johnson (5 ) (SEA) - 21-5, 2.27 ERA, 257.2 IP, 316 K, 98.4 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Alfonso Soriano (DET) - .292/.335/.504, 24 HR, 82 RBI, 38.9 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Barry Bonds (5 ) (SFN) - .312/.448/.670, 51 HR, 108 RBI, 102.1 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: David Wells (LAN) - 20-8, 2.87 ERA, 238.2 IP, 181 K, 75.6 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Andy Tracy (LAN) - .282/.371/.497, 23 HR, 82 RBI, 40.3 VORP

Achievements (2000)

Donny Jeter (Colorado Rockies)
  • 4+ Runs: 3 for 4, 2B, 2RBI, 4R, 2BB versus the Cincinnati Reds on June 21st, 2000.
  • 4+ Runs: 1 for 3, 4R, 4BB versus the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 18th, 2000.
  • 4+ Runs: 2 for 3, 4R, 2BB versus the Chicago Cubs on May 24th 2000.

Darryl Jeter (Chicago Cubs)
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the St. Louis Cardinals on August 14th, 2000, final score 4-3 (11).
  • May 8th, 2000: National League Player of the Week.
  • National League All Star Selection (2).

Derek Jeter (New York Yankees)
  • 5+ Hits: 5 for 5, 2B, HR, RBI, 5R, SB versus the Atlanta Braves on June 3rd, 2000.
  • The New York Post published a damaging article linking Derek to each of the Destiny's Child singers that included insider accounts from employees at various high end clubs in the city. The article, under the headline, “Say My Name”, published during all-star weekend is believed to be the catalyst for Derek opting to sign with LA in the off-season with one insider saying that he felt the article was a betrayal he could never forgive.
  • American League All Star Selection (3).

Note: When I initially made this universe, my only real rule was that i would keep the Jeter Bros off of the same team. Something about that possibility didn't seem fun to me. So, while the LA signing gave me pause, and even though it is a development that I do not like, I will live with it and see where this thing goes. So, while I did have plans for Derek's stint as a host on SNL, I'm sure this OOTP universe will give me something else to do... Maybe a guest host spot on the Tonight Show?!?

As we head into the 2001 season, I figured I would just leave this right here...

What started with a Yankee, a Ranger, and a Cub has devolved into this. I'm not sure how I feel about it. I like Donny in Colorado (he needs his numbers inflated as he has been the most disappointing of the Jeter Bros), and Darryl in a Cubs uniform feels right, but Derek as a Dodger... I'm not sure how I feel about that one. Well, it is what it is, as they say... Let's get weird.

A month in to his first season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Derek "Hollywood" Jeter, is off to a solid start at the plate. His fielding, though, could use some work...Come, gather around and have yourself a little look-see at the low point, rock bottom for the pewter gloved superstar. Forget double cuts and relays, it's back to basics for the youngest of the Jeter boys. For the time being, or at least until he gets his head on straight, Derek's only pop-up priority will be to get the heck out of the way.

He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again... Donny Jeter's rebirth continues in Colorado. Showing an improved patience at the plate, Donny is off to a great start and was rewarded for his efforts this week. With the excess of Texas in his rear-view, Donny has went from being a Rocky Mountain Oyster to being the pearl inside the oyster. A hamfisted analogy (of sorts)?!? Perhaps... But one thing is for sure, Donny "the Right Stuff" Jeter has found a home and his future is looking mighty bright.

In a shocking development, Darryl Jeter, long rumored to be unhappy with his role in Chicago this season, was traded to the last place San Francisco Giants. Jeter, for his part, claimed to be "ecstatic" about the trade regardless of the standings. "I'm looking forward to playing for an ownership group that is committed to winning", said Jeter when asked his opinion on the trade.

While I prefer my Jeter Bros spread throughout the league like peanut butter on a slice of bread, it seems that OOTP won't let me keep them too far apart.

2001 marked the first year that one of the illustrious Jeter Bros would make it a World Series, though not the Jeter that most baseball pundits would have imagined. Donny Jeter, who has experienced something of a career resurgence over the last couple of seasons, made it to the Fall Classic with Colorado in only his second year with the club. Unfortunately, Donny and the Rockies were unable to win the last game of the season, falling to the Anaheim Angels 4-2. After the dust settled, most pundits put Colorado as the odds on favorite to win the Series in 2002, but that was before the most flamboyant of the Jeter 3 would up and sign with the Chicago White Sox for 7 million (said aloud, Dr. Evil style) per season. By contrast, Derek Jeter, the much lauded and youngest of the Super Jeter Bros, had the dubious distinction of being both the biggest addition to the Los Angeles Dodgers and an integral part of the first Dodger team to not make the playoffs in the last 7 years.

2001 World Series Champions: Anaheim Angels (defeated the Colorado Rockies 4-2)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Lance Berkman (TBA) - .334/.440/.597, 36 HR, 121 RBI, 93.4 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Randy D Johnson* (6 ) (ANA) - 20-8, 2.72 ERA, 254.2 IP, 278 K, 79.4 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Aubrey Huff (CHA) - .317/.357/.530, 36 HR, 99 RBI, 47.3 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Sammy Sosa (2 ) (CHN) - .310/.402/.631, 58 HR, 141 RBI, 90.1 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: A J Burnett (NYN) - 22-3, 2.16 ERA, 237.2 IP, 234 K, 86.3 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Marcus Giles (ARI) - .321/.386/.533, 28 HR, 114 RBI, 48.5 VORP

*To call Darryl a bust so far in the Bay would be a gross understatement.
If "the other" brother Darryl is going to get some of the limelight turned his way,
he'll need to work out the hitch in his giddy-up
.

Achievements (2001)

Donny Jeter (Colorado Rockies)
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Cincinnati Reds on April 27th, 2001, final score 6-5 (11).

Darryl Jeter (San Francisco Giants)
  • 2001 wasn't Darryl's finest hour. After the trade to San Francisco Darryl hit .250, with only 2 HR's and 14 RBI's.

Derek Jeter (Los Angeles Dodgers)
  • On the field, Derek had another stellar year and made his 4th all-star team despite not having any notable game achievements. What he lacked in fireworks on the field he had in spades off of it, highlighted by his widely circulated dalliances with Pearl harbor starlet Kate Beckinsale.
  • American League All Star Selection (4).

* Can we take just one hot minute to admire the in-game dominance of the Big Unit?!? 6 time pitcher of the year, 9 time all-star, 3000 K's, 200 W's, and a World Series Ring in Anaheim. Randy has K'd 15+ batters 6 times and has had a 20+ win season 5 times. Filthy

I'm just going to leave this right here so anyone who happens upon my Super Jeter Bros-verse can enjoy this momentous occasion... Our first HOF inductee is the Jules Winnfield of Baseball and Magnum PI doppelganger... The one... The only...

Dave Winfield

Listen, I know the drill, I've lurked around these hallowed boards long enough to know that a declaration like this requires that I leave a long list of statistical achievements as simulated by the engine that is OOTP... But, I won't. Instead I let you marvel at his superb mustache and leave you with this: Mr. Winfield may not be the best hitter to claim the mantle of Mr. 3000, but he'll steal your lunch, steal your girl, and hit a double off of your favorite pitcher all before the 7th inning stretch. Name another ballplayer that has it like that.

2002 marked a return to the playoffs for Derek Jeter, but it was also a year where he did not always display the form at the plate that fans on both coasts have become accustomed to. But, where one brother stumbled, another regained his footing as Darryl was able to rekindle his mastery of the batters box in route to another .300+ season after batting only .250 during his first 64 games as a Giant. In other news, Ted Williams had his head separated from his body and frozen - he and his children agreed to each have it done so they could once again be together at some point in the future. So there is that.

2002 World Series Champions: Anaheim Angels (defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-1)

Outstanding Hitter AL: Gary Sheffield (2 ) (TEX) - .320/.428/.611, 48 HR, 138 RBI, 84.1 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher AL: Jamie Moyer (ANA) - 23-5, 2.58 ERA, 254.1 IP, 148 K, 77.6 VORP
Rookie of the Year AL: Austin Kearns (DET) - .285/.403/.518, 21 HR, 59 RBI, 50.2 VORP
Outstanding Hitter NL: Albert Pujols (SDN) - .315/.384/.624, 49 HR, 129 RBI, 90.9 VORP
Outstanding Pitcher NL: Curt Schilling (NYN) - 21-8, 3.04 ERA, 254.2 IP, 267 K, 63.3 VORP
Rookie of the Year NL: Albert Pujols (SDN) - .315/.384/.624, 49 HR, 129 RBI, 90.9 VORP
*One of the most enjoyable things about OOTP is that it is constantly giving us little gifts. First, I got Dave Winfield as my first HOFer, then the dominant debut of Albert Pujols, and lastly, and perhaps most importantly as a life long M's fan, I got Jamie Moyer as AL Pitcher of the Year! Now that my friends is an absolute gift!

Achievements (2002)

Donny Jeter (Chicago White Sox)
  • On the field, Donny didn't quite live up to the offensive output he delivered in Colorado (but who does?), but, as is often the case for the Jeter Bros, he was an All-Star off the field, splitting his time between Cameron Diaz, Christina Ricci, and Jennifer Connelly if the tabloids are to be believed. If there were a Hall of Fame for off the field shenanigans, it's safe to say that Donny is a lock for first ballot.

Darryl Jeter (San Francisco Giants)
  • Walk-off RBI single versus the Baltimore Orioles on June 22nd, 2002, final score 6-5.
  • 6+ RBI: 3 for 4, 2B, 3B, HR, 7RBI, BB versus the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on June 19th, 2002.

Derek Jeter (Los Angeles Dodgers)
  • While Derek's on the field game failed to deliver any historic moments in 2002, his off the field game remained strong as he split his time between BP and Ali Larter throughout the season.
