Yes. The rights to the OOTP series have been sold to EA Sports, which plans to keep Markus and the crew on staff, but the game will be completely redesigned and released as a combined arcade and statistical simulation called MLB Strike Zone 2015.

Thanks to EA, the game will now include an MLB and MiLB license with all real team names, logos, and player pictures included, 3D stadiums and full 3D animation with accurate player uniforms, and a new Legends Mode with 3D models and FaceGens of great players of the past.

Pre-orders will begin one month before opening day with a scheduled release date of April 1, 2015.

In that case OOTP15 just became my last version.

Yeah somehow I think I'd like it less after that.

The real question is whether anyone has ever created Sidd Finch and a FaceGen to match in OOTP.

Sadly, the Mets never did get Sidd Finch. Instead, they ended up with Sid Fernandez, a guy who never met a Hawaiian barbecue plate that he didn't like.

After his 2 1/3 scoreless in Game 7 of the '86 Series, he could eat anything he wanted and I wouldn't have cared.

I heard a rumor that Strike Zone will also have Marvel and DC licenses, so that teams can draft superheroes. I'm pondering whether Thor can be developed as a dual pitcher/right fielder.

Well, you have to admit that it wasn't exactly fair. He was probably coked up like half that team, so he had a little extra 'zip' on his fastball. But, hey, at least he didn't didn't cut off the head of his girlfriend's cat or write bad checks to pay for prostitutes.

Kevin Mitchell denies that he ever did that, by the way.

You don't think Wade Boggs and Jim Rice were riding white lightning, too?

One thing is for certain, Boggs was definitely riding something he wasn't supposed to have been!

Yes, but two teammates continue to confirm it, including one (Gooden) who says there were two other witnesses with him at the time. But they've never officially come forward to say anything one way or the other.

Jim Rome told the story and said that Gooden was a neighbor, apparently heard Mitchell and his girlfriend/ wife fighting and then wandered over to find out what was going on.

The way Rome told it, it was just the three of them there.

On a side note Kevin is from San Diego my dad loves telling the story about how he coached Kevin Mitchell on his pony league team and how great he was.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.
